Our client is a diverse project based consultancy with a large engineering resource undertaking M&E building services and working in multi-discipline design and property maintenance teams with surveyors and architects. We have a vacancy in our Colchester office for an Electrical Engineer to deliver a variety of planned and reactive maintenance, refurbishment, and new build projects. We can offer varied and interesting work with a number of high profile commercial and public sector clients. The work requires strong technical expertise which bridges design and maintenance.0AThe position offers longer term potential for an individual keen to enhance his * her management capabilities and to play an active role in business development.0ARequirements0A ONC*HNC*HND or similar or engineers with 5 years + appropriate experience0A A Building Services Engineer with contracts management or contracting experience.0A Ability to work in a team.0A Familiar with maintenance and refurbishment projects, with some experience in the education*government, corporate and retail sectors advantageous but not essential.0A Strong customer focus.0A Good organisational skills and the ability to work well under pressure.0A Sound business acumen.0A Excellent communication and presentation skills.0A High level of all round IT capability with previous use of MS Project and NBS software desirable.0A Current, full clean driving licence.0A Good project management skills, specification and report writing.0A Thorough understanding of building services * sound knowledge of construction.0AResponsibilities0A Management of project finances from inception through to completion.0A Fulfilling all Company and Client QA procedures 0A Obtaining statutory approvals 0A Production of drawings, specifications and tender documents obtaining tenders and quotations tender adjudication and analysis 0A Full PM * Contract Administration of projects through to completion 0A Survey and report writing for the full range of typical Core Building Services. 0A Coordinating other consultants and contractors, both internally and externally0A
